Five on Friday!

Happy Black Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful Turkey Day! My family is still in town and I am soaking up as much time with them as possible, so I'm going to skip my 5 today. Week 17 Bumpdate

How far along: 17 weeks!
Baby Size: The baby is a size of a turnip ! (5 inches long, 5 oz)!
Weight gain: up 1.5 pounds to 118 but I expect this number to soar after Thanksgiving.
Maternity clothes: Still holding out for Black Friday sales!
  Stretch marks: Crossing my fingers and using my creams every night!
Sleep: Like a champ this week thanks to my new Bump Nest! I also had another dream about my teeth falling out. This is the third time since I found out I was pregnant that I've had this dream so of course I decided to google it. Apparently this is a very popular pregnancy dream and according to the "dream therapists" is an over exaggeration of our fears and anxieties {ie: anxiety about appearance, fear of losing control, not feeling prepared for the task at hand, etc.}. Whew! Remind me not to google my dreams from here on out!

Gender: I can't believe we will know in TWO days!!! Thanksgiving can't come soon enough!! Pink or blue? I am dying to find out! Thank you to everyone who voted in our gender poll! Looks like we are tied for boy and girl!

Movement: I swear I felt my first flutter during my prenatal massage over the weekend. Not sure if it was just wishful thinking or a very light flutter but I was so excited!
Best moment this week: Getting ready for the arrival of our families for Thanksgiving. You can read about our Thanksgiving preparations and plans {here}!
Looking forward to: Spending time with our family, stuffing my face with turkey and desserts, finding out our baby's gender and Black Friday shopping!
Food cravings: Ice cream, cheese quesadillas, french fries, blueberry muffins & bagels, orange juice...   Anything making you queasy or sick: Still saying NO to chicken.
Labor Signs: Will start answering this in about 26 weeks...   What I miss: I had a nasty cold all last week and definitely missed medicine, especially nighttime medicine. My doctor gave us a list of approved medicines for colds at our first appointment but I decided to tough it out. Instead, I sucked down a whole bag of Cold-Eeze. They are just cough drops, right? I read the box after my 10th drop to find out that you can only have 1-2 per day. I had mom guilt for days.   Symptoms: While I was sick, I had sharp pains every time I sneezed or coughed (which was frequent). Apparently this is just another awesome symptom of round ligament pain.  
Nursery: Hoping to purchase our crib and rocker on Black Friday, pending sale price!
Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: Oh-so-happy!!!
Workouts: My cold really kicked my butt this week so I only managed to take one Cardio Funk class and one elliptical workout.
Prayer for Baby:    Dear Lord, as my baby continues to grow and gain fat this week, I pray that she will gain the right amount of weight, including the healthy amount of body fat. Please help me to eat in a healthy way, and exercise regularly so I can continue to have a healthy pregnancy. Help me to also concentrate on good health and not become obsessed with my body weight/image. Whether we are having a boy or girl, I pray that You will continue to bless and guide my baby's development. I thank you for your love and protection. In Jesus's name. Amen.    "But now God has placed the parts, each one of them, in the body just as He wanted."  - 1 Corinthians 12:18

Now can you see how hard it was for me to pick one of these for our Christmas card?! I am so happy with how these turned out. It was a gorgeous day for shooting and we had so much fun!

    - ONE - How amazing are these napkins?! I must find them before Thursday!!!

- TWO - Another one of my favorite pictures from our Christmas shoot...

- THREE - Earlier this week a group of friends got together at Kristen's house to watch a Monday night football game in her movie room! How awesome is this set-up?!

- FOUR - CUPCAKES!!! The toasted hazelnut nutella frosted cupcake was unbelievable!!!

- FIVE - I am addicted to checking the Gender Poll on my sidebar! Thank you all for voting! Both Matt and I {and apparently lots of you} are convinced there is going to be lots of BLUE in our near future!
