Five on Friday!

Let me give you two pieces of advice.

1. If you don't use this angle brush and this MAC fluidline (color: Blacktrack) for your eye makeup, you are totally missing out. I've been using both for years and will never use anything else.

2. If you do use that brush...don't try and rush through applying your liner. You may just accidentally poke your eye ball...and then have a blood shot eye for a few days before your husband begs you to go see the eye doctor. And then you'll end up on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory ointment.

Now that we have all that good advice out of the way...

one.  I've had SO many questions about our Tree Collar for our Christmas tree! I am OBSESSED with it. It's so pretty and it is SO much easier to vacuum under the tree without a skirt! There are only a few left in stock so grab yours now!
two. Every single time I make my Total Wine run one of the sales associates talks me in to a new Sauvignon Blanc. And they've never led me wrong. Per their recommendation, I picked up and loved this Cottesbrook Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc! It's $3 more than I normally spend on a bottle but I had a $10 off coupon and it was totally worth it. Highly recommend.
three. I have purchased so many Christmas jammies from Target this season. Earlier this week the deal was buy one ($12) get one 60% off!! We wear Christmas jams all year so it's never too late for me to stock up on a good deal, plus Thomas wears all of Caroline's hand-me-downs one year later. Anyway, you definitely need some Elf and Santa jammies for your family!
 Santa Pajamas
four. Tuesday night a few of my best mama friends got together for a girls night out. We grabbed dinner at Fresh Chef and then went to see Bad Moms Christmas! It was SO funny and almost as good as Bad Moms (#1) which we all went to see together too!
five. **GIVEAWAY** I've talked about my love for Fulton & Roark products a few times lately on the blog, but today I have to share one more amazing gift idea for the man in your life -- a F&R Holiday Dopp Kit (stuffed with luxury man products). This gift is especially perfect if the man in your life travels a lot. Matt doesn't travel a lot, but has been using a terrible old mesh drawstring bag for his toiletries since I've known him. So this Christmas he is getting UPGRADED to the gorgeous F&R Dopp Kit!
And good news! F&R generously offered to giveaway a Dopp Kit to one lucky reader! Enter using the rafflecopter below!!
***GIVEAWAY*** Enter using the rafflecopter below. The contest will run through Dec. 12 and the winner will be picked at random and announced back here on Dec. 13! Good luck!

Mamas Spring Break 2017

While scheduling the 2017 Supper Club calendar our group of 11 ladies decided to swap out our open month for an annual beach weekend. Our club has several pregnant mamas or mamas with newborns but we still ended up with 6 girls for the trip this year!  A few snapshots from our Mamas Spring Break...
Each year the vacation planner will rotate but McKinsey graciously raised her hand to plan our first beach getaway..and she nailed it. She selected the most beautiful 4 bedroom house (with a private pool!!) just three hours away on Isle of Palms for 3 nights. Oh, and she also wins best friend ever for being 22 weeks pregnant (with baby #2) and volunteering to be our DD the entire trip.
Five out of six of us arrived around lunch time on Thursday so we stopped at Pages Okra Grill for cocktails and lunch and then made a quick grocery stop on our way to the house. The rest of the afternoon was spent sipping rose` poolside and relaxing without our little people running around.
For our first dinner out we ate at The Obstinate Daughter where we all agreed The Kings Honey cocktail was one of the best we've ever had. In fact, this was my favorite dinner of the trip.
Cooler Bag & Beach Tote c/o Scout // Fedora (on sale) // Swim Suit (print sold out but bikini version here & solid one piece version here)
Friday morning we made breakfast, packed up all the bags, booze and snacks and spent the day on the beach.
The weather was unbelievably perfect and all of us got burnt despite our many sunscreen applications.
My romper (on sale for $26) // pink tassel earrings ($12 -- available in 6 colors)
Friday night we ate at Acme Lowcountry Kitchen.
Saturday was another beautiful beach day!
Getting ready together as a big group each night was one of my favorite parts of the vacation. We piled into the sitting room (dubbed as Laura's Beauty Bar) with curling irons, eye shadow pallets, charcuterie plates and mimosas.. Laura spent hours perfectly curling hair, Lisa gave makeup lessons, I topped off the drinks and we all danced around like complete fools to the best pop play lists. It was so so so nice to take our time getting ready without toddlers chasing us with sippy cups and snack demands.
Soooo much makeup envy.
Most requested outfit deets from InstaStories: My romper // Abby's yellow lace dress (sold out) // Sara's yellow floral dress // Lisa's stripe top
For our last dinner out we headed into Charleston for happy hour at Zero George and a late dinner at FIG.
Zero George was definitely one of the trip highlights. We arrived at the perfect time to steal the best lounge area in the house and shared the most delicious charcuterie board and a few bottles of my new favorite Sauvignon Blanc, Cloudy Bay.
On Sunday we woke up bright and early and rushed home to our babies! It was the perfect mama spring break!

From Florida with Love

My best friend from college and her boyfriend came to visit this past weekend! From the day she told me she booked her flight I began preparing the perfect weekend agenda for the 4 of us…
Of course the itinerary included all my favorite things from restaurants to drinks to activities!
In preparation for their arrival, I left a printed agenda on their pillow, some fresh tulips, a little gift {that would later come in handy} and some personalized bottles of water.
In case you are wondering how I created the water bottle labels, I used a free template {found here}.
May’s gift was a cute knitted ear warmer headband I purchased from a boutique in Charlotte for our hike.
Upon arrival I served a strawberry champagne welcome drink which was totally delicious.

After a few drinks we headed to Zink in South Park for well, more drinks!
We ate dinner next door at one of my favorite restaurants, The Cowfish {sushi burger bar}.
Saturday morning we ate breakfast then headed to Crowders Mountain for an enjoyable 4 mile hike.
Charlie sported his Ruffwear hiking boots and jacket for the hike.
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you may remember that Crowders Mountain was where Matt proposed, so it was fun to be back at such a special spot.
After our hike we got cleaned up and headed out for a brewery tour. Our first stop was NoDa Brewing Company where we drank beer flights and toured the brewery.
Our second stop, Heist Brewery, was only a few blocks away in an old cotton mill. We loved this place {and their beer}!
For dinner we went to another one of my favorite restaurants, Cabo Fish Taco, for margaritas and fish tacos! I pretty much take all of my visitors to this Charlotte staple.

After dinner we headed back home so the boys could smoke cigars while May and I crashed on the couch had some girl time.
May and Justin headed back to Orlando after breakfast on Sunday. Although the goodbyes were sad, the weekend was so wonderful and I was so happy to spend some time with my bestie!
