A Picnic with Friends {Featuring JJ Cole}

Recently we've been really taking advantage of the nice, warm evenings at dinner time during the work week. Not only does Caroline enjoy eating outside in her high chair or on a blanket, but it makes clean up so much easier.

So when JJ Cole generously offered to send us the Prairie Blossom Outdoor Blanket and Heather Caprice Diaper Bag for summer picnicking I didn't hesitate to say yes! We've already used the blanket quite a bit in our backyard, the park and will also be bringing it to the beach with us next week. Not only is the fabric soft, durable and washable (you can wipe it clean), it folds up easily and includes a detachable strap for carrying or attaching to a stroller.

Anyway, this week Caroline's daycare hosted a family picnic in the lawn and I cannot tell you how many JJ Cole outdoor blankets were in attendance! Apparently I was the last one to the party on finding this awesome outdoor blanket.

While pregnant with Caroline I searched high and low for the perfect (and cute) diaper bag that I wouldn't mind toting around everyday. I had a lot of specifications and ended up splurging on the Kate Spade Stevie Bag. Oh, first time mom regrets! I used it for about 10 seconds before I realized I am just not a diaper bag person! So sadly, that bag has sat in perfect condition in Caroline's closet and instead I just throw baby things (toys, books and snacks) into my every day tote that I carry. 

However, I have also been using a JJ Cole Diaper Tote in addition to my every day tote for Caroline. I pack it each morning with backup clothes, extra snacks, etc. and leave the bag in her cubby at school. This bag rocks. It holds so much stuff and contains a million pockets. I actually did a full review on it awhile ago (here) and am pumped to add a more gender neutral version (Heather Caprice Diaper Bag) to my collection for Thomas!

For dinner, the school had a food truck at the event. However, we weren't sure how Caroline would feel about a hotdog so we picked up some Chick-fil-a for her. She had no complaints.

 I think there are 4 chicken nuggets stuffed inside those chipmunk cheeks.
