There is just something so charming and personal about the southern tradition of embellishing items with your initials. So, a few months ago when I stumbled across the popular Southern Proper birch wood monogram pin, I knew I had to have it, and I knew exactly where it would go...

 A little more info about Southern Proper's monogram: their three-letter monograms are cut from 1/4" birch wood (thicker than the 6", 8" and 10") and offer the perfect size for the inside of a door wreath. And of course, the bigger the better! The 12-inch monogram can be used alone with a ribbon on your door, over a bed or fireplace. Each of our monograms are cut from UNFINISHED WOOD, ready for paint, glitter or whatever you can imagine. They recommend spray-painting your monograms with several thin coats in the color of your choice. If you would like to add glitter, they recommend Martha Stewart® fine glitters.
