Happy Easter!

 Good Friday, friends! 

We are just days away from Easter! As we rush home from work, pack our bags, clean the house, run to the grocery store, bake a few desserts, load the car and set off for Matt's parent's house, I can't help but stop just for a moment and reflect on the cross.

Earlier this week in bible study, we studied Jesus going to the cross and conquering the grave. It is hard for me to imagine what it must have been like for Him on the cross - the shame, the humiliation, the horrific pain, all while knowing He was totally innocent!

But Jesus, our holy and righteous and blameless God, took on all of our sin because He loves us and because we are worth it! To me it is overwhelmingly humbling and deeply encouraging to know that we are on the receiving end of this kind of love. Jesus desires a relationship with us, one that is personal and life giving! His resurrection gives us eternal hope.

He is not here, for He has risen!
