What an exciting week it has been! The rain has somewhat dried up, I've been rocking some new clothes I picked up from the Blowing Rock outlets last weekend, one of my very best friends got engaged to an amazing guy, I celebrated the one year anniversary at my job and to top it all off, Matt and I are throwing a huge Fiesta this weekend! Whew, it doesn't get any better than that! So now that I've pretty much spoiled half of my 5 things...
- ONE - At the end of Kristen's wedding reception I was given permission to grab as many flowers as I possibly could carry to the car. I think I grabbed a total of 20 lavender hydrangea stems and a peony arrangement. After a full week, these flowers are still kickin! Here are a few of the many arrangements floating around my happy house.
I think I am going to dry them all so I can keep them forever.
- TWO - My one year anniversary at my job kind of snuck up on me. I knew it was around the corner, but apparently Matt and his mom knew exactly when it was because I got not one but two sweet cards from them. In typical Matt fashion, he had to be all over-the-top wonderful and include a gift card to my favorite boutique which is conveniently a few doors down from my office. I guess time really does fly when you love what you do! And if you missed it, you can read all about my very first day of work {here}!
- THREE - Earlier this week I made my weekly trip to Ulta, this time on a hunt for a new primer. I knew I was going to be torn between the Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer {$32} that April recommended {here} and Philosophy's Supernatural Poreless Flawless SPF 15 Primer {$30} that my sister swears by. I use both product brands so the decision was very tough. As I studied the ingredients, compared reviews on my phone and played a game of eeny meeny miny moe, the cutest Ulta associate came over and asked if I needed help. The answer was definitely "YES!" I told her my debate and she immediately took me over to the Studio Gear section. What? Umm, no. I've never even heard of this brand! Between her incredible sales pitch {Ulta has been trying to get this
line in their stores forever, SG is Goldie Hawn's preferred brand, products are huge on the West Coast, etc.}
and testing all 3 primers on the back of my hand, Studio Gear Prime Objective Skin Perfecting Face Primer {$30} was my winner. I have super dry skin and this primer has been fantastic for my face!

- FOUR - Kiwi Strawberry Sparkling Ice. Only $1 from Harris Teeter, aspartame-free, full of vitamins and antioxidants, zero calorie and delicious - I am so addicted to these sparkling waters and lemonades. All of the Sparkling Ice flavors are delicious, but I can't get enough of this flavor {and Crisp Apple}! Laura recently blogged about the Pink Grapefruit flavor {here} as one of her favorite summer drinks too!
- FIVE - As I mentioned earlier, Matt and I are hosting a Fiesta tomorrow! I've been working on lots of little DIY crafts for months so I am over-the-moon for the party weekend to finally be here! Of course I will fill you in picture by picture next week, but in the meantime I've created an inspiration board for the party!

P.S. Did you click on number 4? If not, you need to. My fellow link-up host, Darci, threw one of the best Fiestas I've ever seen {and I've seen a TON of fiestas on Pinterest}. I may be stealing half of her ideas for our party.
Wanna join Darci, April, Natasha and I on the Friday fun? You can link-up on any of our four blogs every Friday! All you have to do is...
1.) Write your post about five things you're lovin' this week (or any five things you want to share!).
2.) Share the logo above on your blog and link back.
3.) Link-up at the bottom of the post so some new readers can check out your five things and say hello!

And that ICE stuff is aspartame-free????? I've always avoided even trying it because I assumed some nasty sweetener was in it. May have to try it now.
