Baby Size: The baby is a size of a lemon (3.4 inches long).
Weight gain: Up another 2 pounds after too many amazing meals in the mountains, coming in at 114. But the doctor told me they have me down for a higher starting weight than I initially thought, so I am already confused about my weight gain.
Maternity clothes: For work I've been able to pull of the bella band for most of my outifts. But I am definitely in maternity jeans full time on the weekends! I am obsessed. It's like wearing pajamas all the time!
Sleep: Sleep has gotten much better this week. Thankfully I've been able to fall back asleep during the middle of the night when I get up to tinkle.
Best moment this week: Spending the long weekend with my boys in the mountains. We had such a fun and relaxing time celebrating two years of marriage!
Looking forward to: Our Christmas card photoshoot this weekend! EEK! So excited!!!
What I miss: Nothing really.
Movement: Not yet...
Food cravings: Carbs {bagels, pastas and french fries}.
Gender: Oh gosh. This week I think it's a GIRL? No wait, a boy. No. I don't know!
Labor Signs: Will start answering this in about 26 weeks...
Symptoms: Hip pain, oh my, it's terrible. If I get up too quickly, twist & turn while sleeping, move abruptly or even laugh too hard I get a shooting pain near my hip flexers. The other night I rolled over to grab my lip balm off my night stand and literally screamed the pain was so sharp! Anyone else ever experience this? I'm going to talk to my doctor during my next visit.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy, happy, happy!
Nursery: Just a few more weeks before we start working on this! However, I have created a Nursery Pinboard filled with lots of cute inspiration!
Workouts: Elliptical workouts 4 days this week.
Prayer for Baby:

Are you finding out what you are having - we are not and I go back and forth throughout a day even in what it might be! The heart rate is really high (160) so I think girl, but then I feel like I'm carrying low (although it's early) song think boy... Or depending what I read about the baby if it says boy I think boy that day or girl if it says girl... Head games! My hubby still thinks girl - has never changed! Haha. You look great!!
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI had horrible hip pain during my pregnancy. It started at around 10 weeks and continued through the end...(I hope yours goes away!) I would be walking and it would literally feel like my hips were popping out of joint. It finally settled into my left hip, and my entire left thigh was basically numb through the rest of pregnancy...such a weird feeling. My doctor suggested physical therapy. With work, and all the other dr. appointments I didn't go and just suffered through. So stupid. I wish I had made time for it, because I still have lingering numbness, and occasional pain. I guess my point is follow your doctors orders!! Good luck!! :)
ReplyDeleteYikes! I am definitely going to mention to my doc at my next appt in 2 weeks. Thanks so much for commenting! :)
DeleteSounds like you are experiencing round ligament pain - totally normal, and totally painful! They are the ligaments that are stretching as your uterus grows, so when you move and they get "pulled" you will feel a sharp pain along your hips or groin area. If they start getting bad, make sure you drink lots of water and rest for a bit. My best advice is to move slowly and carefully, since they tend to happen to me when I change positions too suddenly and the ligaments don't have time to sloooowly stretch with my movement. For me, I experienced the most pain with round ligaments right around where you are now (13 to about 18 weeks); they have gotten much better as my pregnancy has progressed (I'm almost 30 weeks now) but maybe that's because they are soooo stretched out by this point that they just don't feel anything anymore ;) Everyone is different!
ReplyDeleteI googled round ligament pain and the description is DEAD ON to what I am experiencing! So glad you mentioned this because I was definitely concerned before I learned this is all part of the "growing pains!" Thanks for commenting!!! :)
Deletelook at that little bump!!!! ah! you look so happy and glowing! xoxox
ReplyDeleteIs your due date close to April's? If so, it's got to be so fun for you both to compare, etc! I loved doing that with mama's who were due around when I was :) I'm too excited for you to find out the gender... I foresee many blogger baby play dates in the future :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Congrats on such an exciting time in your life!
ReplyDeleteLooking fab mama! I have that SAME pulling feeling when I stretch to the nightstand (or sneeze) and dang it stings! Oh, and how was I not following you on Pinterest before?!
ReplyDeleteLove your pic in the mountains. :) Beautiful! Oh my, the hip pain does not sound fun! Hope it doesn't happen too often. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like the round ligament pains I had. They were rough!
ReplyDeleteI love how you do the Prayers for baby. So sweet <3 This world needs more babies raised in Christ filled homes
ReplyDeleteSorry about the hip pain, it can be sooooo painful. Do you think it's PGP? I'd recommend a maternity slide sheet (I have a Snoozle) and a pillow between your legs :)
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! At week 14 I also went back and forth on the gender! It wasn't until two days before our reveal that I just knew it was a girl. I am giving away a boba wrap baby carrier this week if you're interested! :)

You are too cute, I can't wait to see your Christmas pictures, you always create such cute & fun pics. Do you have a good local photographer you recommend? I'm in the process of finding one for our Christmas card picture, too!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely precious... and I remember when the babe turned to the size of a lemon I felt like that was a HUGE step... I mean a lemon???? A lemon is pretty big! You're looking great though girl, don't worry about the pounds. Ok, so let's talk gender... do you have your anatomy u/s yet? YOU KNOW YOU COULD GO to My Sunshine Baby off Tyvola next week and she can tell you!!!! We've gone twice, Kristin found out (I think) around the 15 week mark from there as well. I'm dying to know if it's a boy or girl... have you done the string test or Chinese birth calendar? ps.... EEEEEKKKK I get to see you on Sunday! Love ya, gf!
ReplyDeleteSO cute :) I loved my maternity jeans when I was pregnant. I wish I could get away with wearing them now lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet lil bump! I love the pic of you in the mountains- you're so happy! xo
ReplyDeleteBless you and yours. You brought a smile to my face seeing the beauty before. Thank you and I will be thinking and praying for you and yours.
ReplyDeleteI had horrible hip pain throughout my whole pregnancy. I spoke to my doctor about it and they said basically it was a growing pain of pregnancy- not all women have it but some do. I was also told physical therapy as Mrs. K said but I never got around to, I just didn't have time and I learned to live with it. The one thing that I think helped was that I walked (as my exercise) 1-2 miles everyday and my pain was usually worse on the days I didn't walk. Unfortunately pregnancy has a lot of growing pains that no one really talks about!
ReplyDeleteI love your prayer for the precious baby - that baby is one blessed little sweetie!! :) :)
ReplyDeleteJust looking at this after my last comment, but you must be due just a week before me! I'm 13 weeks and due on May 15th! Congrats to you! www.styleoyster.blogspot.com
