Five on Friday!
Happy Friday! Today I have a total hodge podge of things for ya...
- ONE - Soooo Matt put the crib together earlier this week! It is absolutely insane to see it assembled in our nursery now. It makes me so happy! And because we had so much joy from working on the nursery we plan to do so much more this weekend!!! I promise a post is coming next week. Like, pinky promise!
- TWO - I am a total snacker throughout the day. Sometimes just thinking about my next snack is what gets me through a meeting or a conference call. That sounds really sad but my appetite is insatiable these days. Not that you probably care, but here's a peek into my usual work snacks..
- THREE - I ran out of concealer earlier this week so I decided to pick up some e.l.f. Concealer during my weekly Target trip and I have to say, this $3 concealer is magical. I love it and definitely won't be splurging anymore for other concealer brands.
- FOUR - Although it's rare, Charlie gets so excited when I get home while there is still enough daylight to throw his ball in the backyard.
- FIVE - Now that I'm starting to slow down a bit, I've cut back on cooking during the week and save my fancier meals for the weekend. So about two nights a week I've been heating up Lean Cuisines for Matt and I. This is a very new concept for us since we've never, ever done microwave meals for dinner before but Matt has really enjoyed it because it cuts down on dinner prep/clean up and gives us more time together in the evenings. So we've been experimenting with new flavors and I've definitely found two that I really like but we are going to need more variety...so what are your favorite Lean Cuisine Meals?
Wanna join Darci, April, Natasha and I on the Friday fun? You can link-up on any of our four blogs every Friday! All you have to do is...
1.) Write your post about five things you're lovin' this week (or any five things you want to share!).
2.) Share the logo on your blog and link back.
3.) Link-up at the bottom of the post so some new readers can check out your five things and say hello!
The nursery looks like its going to be so gorgeous!! It must be so exciting to see it coming together :) Does it seem like Charlie notices everything going on with the baby? I'm always curious if dogs sense something is going on!
ReplyDeleteI am seriously loving your nursery wall pattern. That sweet baby will have the most fabulous nursery on the block! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI used to bring Lean Cuisines for lunch ALL the time when I was working part time. After I graduated from college and got a full time job, I found that as lunch time rolled around I was beyond ready to get out of the office and take a break from everything. But, Lean Cuisines are really good, and are an easy lunch meal. I find that I tend to eat out during lunch because I desperately want to get away from my desk. It has gotten expensive, and just not good for me. I think I might try out Lean Cuisines for lunch again next week.
ReplyDeleteI really like their Mushroom Tortelloni and Shrimp Scampi in their "market" collection, the 3 Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni is also really good!
Can't wait to see the nursery reveal. Love the LC beans and rice that you showed as well as pretty much all of the pasta dishes and french bread pizzas. Their meat seems to be a little "iffy" sometimes but other than that they're usually great. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that beautiful stenciled wall! I cannot wait to see the entire room and all the gorgeous details! I tried doing Lean Cuisines once for my husband and I and while he didn't mind taste, he no doubt needed 3 to even come close to filling him up. : ) I've never tried either of those, but the rice looks very similar to this majorly junky {El Paso Spanish Rice} but oh so good rice I serve w. Santa Fe Chicken. Definitely need to try that bc I have no doubt it's healthier and quicker than the 30 min cook time. My favorites are the Butternut Squash Ravioli, Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli and Chicken w. Basil Cream Sauce. T. Joe's has some great frozen meals, too! Have a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the nursery!! I will have to try the ELF consealer because mine seems to dry out my skin under my eyes - no bueno! & I love the idea of easy meals 1-2 nights a week! Hope y'all have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the blogging world, and just love what you've done with your blog. It's a fun place to visit. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I LOVE the stenciled wall in the nursery. That is definitely my style. Is that paint or wallpaper? Also, thanks for the concealer tip. Natasha outlined make-up tips today, and I can definitely learn a lot on that front! http://jenuinehappiness.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see nursery updates next week! Always love seeing your home decor style. And isn't the e.l.f. concealer a lifesaver?! I usually splurge on Bare Minerals concealer for every day, but I keep the stick concealer in my purse for touch-ups and you just can't beat the cheapo price!
ReplyDeleteLove those walls!
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with the wall for the nursery - it's going to look amazing and can't wait for that post!! I've been on the hunt for a new concealer and for $3 you just can't go wrong!!
ReplyDeleteYour nursery looks amazing so far!! You did a fabulous job on the wall! Thanks for sharing tips on the concealer!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to see more nursery progress, girlie!! I know it will be so beautiful...and LOVE how much joy it has brought y'all. A huge blessing indeed. :) Happy weekend, cutie mama! xx

ReplyDeleteWhere do I start! Chicken Enchilada Suiza is one of my favorites! I also love the Pepperoni French Bread Pizza. Potatoes, broccoli, and Cheddar Cheese is a nice meatless one! Ravioli is also really good!
ReplyDeleteLove the nursery!!! Definitely going to try the concealer. What a steal for $3. As far as easy meals my favorite LC is Sesame Chicken and my husband loves the Voila! Skillet meals. Quick, easy, and yum! :)
ReplyDeleteOooooh that NURSERY! I can't wait to see how it all comes together! This is a big nursery weekend for us too and I just can't wait. Like, I want 5pm to be here bad. Maybe because I know I can't do any of the real heavy lifting ;)
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any Lean Cuisines in a while but I used to really love one that is some sort of white fish coated in very light breading - it was delish! Also the Lemon Chicken, YUM. And I think you can't go wrong with the paninis and flatbreads.
We do "Takeout Tuesday" (usually the $6 Harris Teeter custom meals) which Ian loves because there is no prep, no cleanup, just tasty food and more time together!
I love that you're having a girl because your girly decorating talents would be wasted on a boy! Haha! :) The accent wall is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really have a crazy appetite or any cravings while I was pregnant. Unfortunately due to the go-go nature of my job, I had to tell myself, "EAT, Samara!". :( At least your cravings are extremely healthy. Go, you!!
Have a great weekend, friend!! :)
Cheers,
Samara
After I found my cheap NYX concealer I am never going back to expensive ones. I haven't tried that ELF one before may have to add it to the list :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Lean Cuisine Garlic Chicken Spring rolls are to die for!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi hun!!! I am Elise @ Cheers Yall's little sis and I just joined the blog world! I have been following along with you and absolutely adore your bumpdates! Can't wait to read more and join in this bloggin' community with you! Will look forward to seeing your nursery posts :) Happy, Happy Friday! Xx.
ReplyDeleteYour pup is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhen I ate Lean Cuisine meals, my fave was the pizza. Delicious!
Love the wall in your nursery!
I basically lived on the Lean Cuisine Lasagna and Panini meals in college. Both great! Not sure if they still make these any more, but Kashi used to make frozen meals. They are a little more costly than Lean Cuisine, but bigger portions and absolutely delicious.
ReplyDeleteYour nursery is so cute! But your pup stole the show for me, what a sweetie!!! I eat Lean cuisines a lot for lunch, I also really like Healthy Choice steamers. (eating one right now) Thanks for hosting the link up! It's one of my favorite things! p.s. I am totally a snacker too!
ReplyDeletei really like lean cuisine honestly good meals! they taste less salty than the originals! xo
ReplyDeleteLean Cuisine Sesame Chicken is my favorite. I must buy 3 every time I go to Kroger.
ReplyDeleteI didn't cook after about week 26. Brad was on cook duty. This came about after he made a comment about something I had BUSTED my butt to cook! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your nursery wall! So pretty! And I will definitely need to try that concealer, I mean for only $3?!! Yes Please!
ReplyDeleteAhh bed in the nursery I bet makes things feel more real!
ReplyDeleteI love the tortilla crusted fish LC, but I only let myself buy them when they are on sale. I just bought the ELF tinted moisturizer and love it. It makes getting ready so much easier in the mornings when all I (and baby) want to do is sleep in! I can't wait to see how the nursery comes together. I've been scouring project nursery for ideas for ours.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the accent wall in the nursery! Can't wait to see more pictures!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with ya on the snack thing. String cheese and apples have been big for me during my pregnancy so far.
Oh the crib!! YEAH!!! Love the wall too!! Can't wait to see her nursery all done.
ReplyDeleteThat wall in your nursery is amazing!

So glad you are enjoying putting together your nursery!! I can't wait to try that elf concealer, too! Oh, and I made the pork tenderloin last Saturday and it was fabulous!!! My husband loved it! Thanks for the great recipe. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so much more real once the crib is up, isn't it? :) I'm impressed with your healthy snacks! I am all about chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate these days. Happy weekend :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, your nursery is so incredibly cute! I'm so glad to finally see the entire wall done with the pattern - it looks adorable! Doesn't it feel so good to have your nursery come together!? TJ's sesame honey almonds are the best too. Happy Friday & stay warm this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the butternut squash ravioli? SOOO good! That is my fave!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see nursery pics! :)
I am loving your nursery! I can't wait to see it come together. Confession: I definitely want to do that stenciled wall in my living room....I LOVE it. You'll have to post about that sometime, unless you already did and I somehow missed it? Also, honey almonds sound delish! Have a great weekend working on the nursery!!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see the nursery progress - love that stencil!!
ReplyDeleteokay - i totally hear you with trying to make weeknight meals easier - but please don't tell me you're eating frozen spaghetti & meat sauce?!? spaghetti and sauce is SO easy to prep and you could even make the meat sauce on the weekend and freeze or refrigerate it for the week - and it's probably just as cheap as the frozen dinners. those things are packed with sodium - but i know they are super time-savers when you need it.
Love the nursery. I definitely want to try that e.l.f. concealer. I've heard their pressed powder is great too.
ReplyDeleteThe wall in the nursery is so pretty! I love it!!! I use an e.l.f. concealer too and it is amazing -- especially for such a low price. You should totally try the Amy's Organics frozen meals next time! They're really good for frozen food!
ReplyDeleteI saw the picture you posted on instagram and I just love the stenciled wall in Caroline's room! Also, who are those honey almonds made by in that snack picture of yours?
ReplyDeleteLove Charlie's smile! I'm not a big microwave meal person but I have tried that santa fe rice and beans before and liked it - that and the enchiladas suizas before I went veg.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to try that concealer. The nursery looks gorgeous so far!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the nursery!! Looks adorable already
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your baby girl...that's so exciting! I had a girl first too and loved it. :) I can't wait to see your nursery!
ReplyDeleteLove the nursery, beautiful! I will def try the concealer, need a new one!! We love the Lean Cuisine pizzas and lasagna. Don't let anyone give you a hard time...those are fine once in awhile! Love, love 5 on Friday!
ReplyDeleteYour work snacks look so delish!!! I love that you think about snacks to get you through certain things. I do too, but I'm not pregnant so I have no excuse. Haha!
ReplyDeleteThat crib looks complicated! God bless your husband!
ReplyDeleteYour nursery is beautiful! Oh, and your so beautiful too!! My "pregnancy snacks" used to be like yours too--you always have to sneak in chocolate! The only difference is I used to eat lots and lots of strawberries and chocolate covered almonds. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay for nursery progress!!!
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about e.l.f. products- might have to try some out!
Wow the wall in the back of the first picture is absolutely beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI, like you, try not to do Lean Cuisine often. But...when I do, the Chili lime chicken is awesome!
