You want to know what's awesome? YOU ALL ARE! We had 99 link ups to our Five on Friday post last week! I couldn't stop smiling. Y'all are the greatest, and Darci, April, Natasha and I love you!
And since last week's Five was so fun, let's do it again!
- ONE - I finally broke down and splurged on benefit's "they're real" mascara. I typically don't use expensive mascara {$8/tube MAX}, but after all the reviews I ran to Ulta and picked up a tube. I received mixed reviews on my Instagram post about this mascara and am hoping at $23 I see the "dramatic results" some of you had!
- FIVE - Our 2nd Annual Green River Tubing Trip is TOMORROW!!! You can read about the first annual trip {here}. I absolutely cannot wait to drink lime-a-ritas and float down the Green for hours with friends!

I really want to hear your thoughts on the new mascara. I went to Ulta the other day and couldn't bite the bullet (bought a $21 eyebrow pencil instead...ridiculous). Let us know!
ReplyDeleteI finished Paris Wife a few weeks ago and felt the same way! I need a happy ending or else I feel like the book is incomplete! Have a great time tubing this weekend!

ReplyDeleteYou had me at "float" and I forgot everything else after that. ;) SO STINKING FUN!! I absolutely love to float the river and miss it so much (we used to live in a town with two huge and super popular rivers you could float). Hope y'all have a blast this weekend!
And is it weird that I'm now craving sushi at 7:30 a.m.? Yes, yes it is. I'll have to go with donuts instead (gotta keep this sultry figure) since it's apparently National Donut Day and all. Off to the donut shop we go!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read your review of the mascara. I have one that I love and have used for years but am always up for trying something new - especially if I might get some drastic results!
LOVE that mascara. Sephora gave me a sample and I was addicted! I have not yet gone back to spend the $23.00 but I do keep thinking about it!! I'm sure I will probably give in soon :o)

ReplyDeleteI adore river tubing!! I just read your post from last year and my hubby and I have the Intex River Run II-- we love it! We use it at the beach to float down the creek. I have to get a group together to do this ASAP! I haven't tried Akahana Asian Bistro before, but we love Sushi Guru. Will add Akahana to our list! Thanks for recommending!

ReplyDelete1. i've used "theyre real" before - after hearing that's what emily maynard uses! haha the first time i put it on, i was saying that i had kim kardashian eyelashes. i do love it! once it ran out, i started using the one april raves about (loreal professional, maybe?), but i'll probably go back to benefit once it's out again!

I loved The Paris Wife! I am currently reading Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald, and it's very similar to The Paris Wife, but it's about Scott Fitzgerald's wife. You should definitly read it, especially if you liked The Great Gatsby. It's so fun to think about what their lives would have been like back then. They seem so glamorous! Oh and I am excited to link up today! Happy Friday!!
ReplyDeletei totally bought that same mascara about a month ago...it's one of those items i will wear for going out to dinner/nice party/etc, but not for daily looks because i'm cheao in the makeupo department--HAHA!!! hope you get good results because i think it does work!

Oh my goodness, I must try that wrap recipe! That looks absolutely AMAZING!! The perfect summer lunch! And a float trip...so much fun! The hubs and I just did one down in AZ over Memorial Day weekend and it was a blast! Word of advice, though: Keep the sunscreen handy and reapply more than you think you need to...I learned that the hard way ;)

ReplyDeleteThis is my first time in the linkup and I just wanted to say thanks for hosting! Also, about the mascara....I tried it a long time ago so maybe they've changed the formula since but it wasn't anything worth buying over and over...I really like the cheapo beauty tubes mascara (even though I hate the white layer underneath, it really does work wonders) so if you don't love it, try that!

And I am reading The Paris Wife right now also. Bummer about the sad ending, I am sure I will be sad and will let you know what I thought as well!

ReplyDeleteOh I loved the Paris Wife. Although it was sad, it was such a romantic time. So many good lines in that book. Will have to try that sushi place because Corey and I get sushi all the time and probably too often.

ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for happy endings, too. I was also disappointed with The Paris Wife, especially after hearing all of the hype about it. I've been to the Green River with my husband before. He used to be a big kayaker and we went to watch the Green River race a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteI was sad at the end of Paris Wife too, even though I knew from the beginning what was going to happen. Oh well...on a happy note, tubing sounds fantastic! I think I need to plan a tubing trip!
