Last weekend we made a trip to Winston for the sweetest baby shower hosted by Matt's mom and sister. Matt has a pretty large family so it was nice to have a mini family reunion to celebrate Caroline. We had family come in from Virginia, South Carolina and Atlanta!
I loved the invitations my MIL picked out. She and I are a lot alike when it comes to party planning - very organized and detail oriented. From the invite to the cake, the "pink and green" theme was carried throughout the shower.
Ahhh, my love for tulips and baby's breath!
My MIL went everywhere in search for pink and green themed plates and napkins. Of all places, she finally found them at the Dollar Store!
We played one game too! You had to guess the amount of diapers in the large pink bag. The person who guessed closest to the number won a beautiful mossy bunny! The diapers ranged from newborn to size 4 and the best part? We got to take all 206 diapers home with us!

The cupcake cake was also a really good idea. I'd never seen one of these before but it was so easy for guests to pull a cupcake from the cake rather than cut into it. Notice the cake matches the invitation? Told you, detail oriented!
And of course I was absolutely showered with gifts - including lots and lots of the cutest smocked dresses you've ever seen!

And while the girls partied, the boys played golf so everyone was really happy!
We are so grateful for all of the friends and family who traveled near and far to make this day so special for us. Caroline is already one spoiled babe!
