- ONE - I am so excited for Easter weekend even though it's going to be so different from any other Easter we've ever celebrated. This is our first (and last) Easter holiday staying home as just the two of us. I'm a little excited and also a little sad all at the same time. It's hard to believe this time next year little Caroline will be running around the house in her Easter dress, tearing through her Easter basket, hunting for eggs and learning the meaning behind this glorious holiday!
- THREE - I owe you all an update on my Tanwise experiment. For starters, this is not a project anyone should take on at 9 months pregnant. Navigating around a massive belly to evenly cover my legs was pretty much impossible, leaving me with terrible dark patches and streaks. The mouse definitely works...if you have the patience to slooooowly and carefully apply it. Poor Matt had to help me apply it and after all that work it still looked awful and I ran to the shower and washed it all off. If you use too much it just makes you look really dirty (see left leg below), and if you use too little you get streaks. Oh, and you must use a glove otherwise you'll wind up with super dark hands. I think I'll give this product another shot post-baby.
- FOUR - Last weekend I got some serious spring fever and begged Matt to spruce up our front porch a bit. Off we went to Home Depot where we purchased some ferns and flowers to replace our dead mums. Yes, we still had dead mums in our front porch planters.
These pre-made "drop-in planters" are totally the way to go!
- FIVE - If you haven't already seen the "Worlds Toughest Job" interview, you have to watch this. Then grab some Kleenex and give your mom a hug.
Wanna join Darci, April, Natasha and I on the Friday fun? You can link-up on any of our four blogs every Friday! All you have to do is...
1.) Write your post about five things you're lovin' this week (or any five things you want to share!).
2.) Share the logo on your blog and link back.
3.) Link-up at the bottom of the post so some new readers can check out your five things and say hello!
Ah so sorry tanwise didn't work for you! I LOVE it. But I don't have a belly to work around. The glove really helps get an even coverage. Have a good weeeknd!
I read Maskara's review on this and it sounded amazing...so I bought it yesterday with the exfoliator and the face gel!!! I however may not try it until after my belly is gone also lol!
Porch looks great, yardwork has not made it to my pre-baby "to do" list this spring so I'm at husband's mercy for whatever he feels like doing with it! hah Happy Easter weekend!
your porch is SO cute!! basically my dream house :) so happy to be linking up with you ladies today. have a happy easter! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
LOVE LOVE your front porch. I have an obsession with front porches and I WILL have a beautiful one someday!! Side question what are you using to hang the wreath on your front door? My husband just painted ours and I want to be able to hang something on it, but he's not loving the idea.
The World's Toughest Job video....SO sweet! I mean you kind of knew where they were going with it, but it was still super sweet when he said "a Mom"
I LOVE your front porch! Your home looks lovely :) I have two questions for you, first - how do you hang your wreath on your front door? We are building a new home and we are getting a very similar door with the dentil shelf on it. second - what finish is your front door handle? Thanks so much & Happy Easter!
That cake looks amazing! Hubs and I love cake but aren't big on icing and I could see that one being a winner with us. Also I love Tanwise, I used it for a long time before it was discontinued originally but you have to use gloves. I would moisturize my legs first (the really dry patches around my feet and knees) and use the Sally Beauty Supply clear gloves for application. The original formula was great with no streaks but I haven't used the new one yet. Lately L'Oreal tan towelettes have been my BFF.
I LOVE your porch!!! It's still too chilly here for flowers but gives me some inspiration :) And as a mama to a 22 month old and 5 month old (both who don't like sleep apparently) I sooo appreciated this video and it made me tear up (or maybe its two years of exhaustion) - but I promise it is worth every. single. second. loveandlifesimplified.blogspot.com
Praise The Lord He is Risen!!! Your planters looks great! When we get back from visiting family, I'm doing that too!
